Today Grandad and I took Alistair and Charlotte to the Lebanon Fire Safety Day. Charlotte fell asleep on our walk over to the high school, but Alistair was very excited to see all the fire engines and ambulances. He sat (with a big smile on his face) in the
Dalmatian bouncy house, and we watched a kitchen fire demonstration.
Alistair and Grandad went to see the ambulances and fire trucks up close. Alistair (and Grandad) even tried on some gear.
After we had our fill of firetrucks, we walked home, stopping at the playground along the way.
Alistair has not wanted to go down the slides at the playgrounds, except for one small one. Today, we went with Grandad down the big curly slide and and so much fun that he went down by himself. He was very proud of himself "going round and round."
