Today Charlotte had her nine month check up. She weighs 17 pounds 15.5 ounces (our pediatrician joked that once she eats something, she'll be 18 pounds). This is the 30-35 percentile, which is exactly where our pediatrician likes to see babies this age since the growth charts are based on averages. Charlotte is 28 inches long, which puts her in the 65 percentile. Overall, Charlotte is doing great. Our pediatrician said that because Charlotte is a scooter, she might be a later walker. Scooters can already get around carrying toys, so there isn't as much incentive to walk. Crawlers can't carry anything, so they walk sooner.
