Dinosaurs and Spiders at the Field Museum

Today we went to the Field Museum.  We thought Alistair would enjoy seeing the dinosaurs.  Sue, the Tyrannosaurus Rex, greats you in the main hall. Alistair loved it.  Upstairs there was a large touch screen where you could assemble Sue's skeletons by dragging the bones into place.  He loved that.  We also went to see the dinosaur hall.  I think Alistair and Charlotte liked pushing the buttons that pronounce the dinosaurs' names just as much as looking at the dinosaurs themselves.

After the dinosaurs, we went on an exhibit where we "shrunk" really tiny and went underground to see what it is like to be an insect living in the dirt.  Then we walked around the area with the taxidermy animals.

After lunch overlooking the lake and the Chicago skyline, we played a bit at the children's area, and then Alistair got to hold a tarantula and put one on his head.  He loved it.  He held a turtle named George too.
