Popham Beach, Maine

We love Popham Beach, and so do the kids.  Charlotte wanted to go to Popham Beach for her birthday.  Well, we finally made it to the beach!

The kids loved jumping in the waves.  Evelyn just giggled and laughed.  She had so much fun!

Before the tide came in, we walked out on the sandbar to the little island just off shore.  We climbed up the rocks, looked for shells in what was left of the sand, and saw a crab that a man wearing American flag swimming trunks had caught in the seaweed.

No trip to the beach is complete without building a sand castle.  Alistair and Charlotte used  not only sand but also driftwood and seaweed to build a sandcastle to withstand the incoming tide.
