Taking the Train to the Montshire

Last night, while Alistair was trying to fall asleep, he said that he wanted to ride the train to the Montshire and go for a walk around the block.  So, today we took Grandad on a train ride on the Green Mountain Railway from White River Junction to the Montshire Museum.  Charlotte was excited too.  She found her pink train hat and wore it ("It's too big!" she said meaning it's too tight), so Alistair wanted to wear his train hat too.

The kids were caught in a trance by the moving ball sculpture, be we eventually were able to tear them away and go outside and play in the river.  We had lunch outside in the pavilion.  We played inside for a short time before taking the train back to White River.

We never did go for a walk around the block.  We worked on the playhouse instead. (See Working on Number 30.)
