Collarbone

Today was a perfect, sunny day, this second day of summer.  The kids wanted to go for a bike ride, so Colin took them on their bikes to the Montessori playground.  Unfortunately, while they were there, Charlotte fell off the swing, putting her arm out to break her fall.  She broke her collarbone.  She was a trooper at the emergency room.  She was okay in the waiting room, sitting on my lap under a warm blanket, but she seemed scared in the exam room and especially when they wheeled her to the x-ray room.  She only cried at the very end when the nurse put the sling on.  She'll be wearing the sling for the next six to eight weeks, poor thing.
