After several months of campaigning, the First in the Nation Primary has finally arrived. We've seen seven candidates and met six of them. After dropping off Charlotte at school, we stopped to talk with Karen who was holding a Hillary "totem" outside the Ward 2 polling place. Dan is local too, and the Carly Fiorina supporter hails all the way from Milwaukee. Poor Evelyn looks all puffy in the picture. She has a horrible case of hives and has been miserable all day.
We actually live in Ward 3, so we then headed to City Hall to vote. Below is a poster commemorating the 100th anniversary of the New Hampshire direct primary. Lebanon's ballot box burned in a fire in the 1920's. You can see copies of the ballots on the poster. There are more than 20 people running in each party.
Always fun to see the activity around the polls. Lots of people out today.
