This afternoon Alistair, Charlotte and I went for a hike in Goodwin Park. Later Alistair told Grandpa and Colin that we went for a hike on the Rail Trail. (Alistair went for a hike last week at school and really enjoyed it. He wore a little frog backpack, and his teacher said that he clasped his hands together so the straps wouldn't fall off.) We walked for a bit on the main trail along the river. I feel so fortunate to have lovely little walks like this minutes from our door. Alistair was happy and kept saying "This is a good hike."
The trail unfortunately wasn't maintained after a point and was overgrown with weeds. We turned around and headed back towards the ski lodge. We decided to walk part way up the ski hill and have a view of the town.
