Quechee Covered Bridge after Irene

The flooding in this area from Hurricane Irene has been devastating. The force of water can be extremely destructive. After our visit to VINS, he had lunch at a cafe overlooking the Ottauquechee River. We could see how high the water had been Sunday night. After lunch we walked the short distance to the Quechee covered bridge, or what is left of it. The water was so high that it was flowing over the bridge. Alistair was sad, but was excited to drive over it after it is rebuilt.
