Today was Alistair's first visit to the dentist. Our visited started off well - there were fun toys in the waiting room and on the bookshelf was one of Alistair's favorite books, Richard Scarry's "Cars and Trucks and Things That Go." Angie the hygienist has grandchildren about Alistair's age, so she was great with him. We took pictures with the little tooth camera and then we took a ride in the chair. Here is a picture of Alistair trying out "Mr. Thirsty." (We thought taking pictures would add to the 'fun' atmosphere.) Alistair let Angie clean his teeth with bubble gum toothpaste, but near the end she "started to lose him." Dr. Bruce counted his teeth, and then he chose a toy from the treat drawer - a truck of course. Throughout the whole visit, baby Charlotte happily chomped on a special chew toy from Angie.
