Finally some Snow!

I thought that after a white Halloween and a white Thanksgiving, we would be in for a snowy winter.  Instead it has been unusually warm, and we've had little snow.  I can't complain about the warm weather, especially when walking Alistair to the Montessori school in the morning, but I want some snow to play in.  Well, we had a couple of inches on Friday night.  As Alistair and I were driving up to Hanover for a birthday party at the bouncy house on Saturday, Alistair exclaimed, "It's Christmas!"

Today we went out and played in the snow.  Charlotte had fun being pulled in the sled.  Alistair ate snow off his shovel and later found a large chunk of snow from the roof that he snacked on, and has even stored in a safe location to eat again tomorrow.

Alistair also wanted to play with his dump truck.  The tires would sometimes get caked with snow and wouldn't turn, but he didn't seem to care.

After putting her down on the snow, Charlotte was able to scoot a little.  She left a little trail in the snow where she had travelled.  You can see her scooting and the little trail she made in the video of our snow adventures:
