This weekend, the sun was shining and the high was around 50. It was perfect for collecting maple sap, so we headed out to Sugarbush farm near Woodstock in Vermont. We showed Alistair the tree taps, buckets, and tubing used to collect the sap. We even tasted sap dripping from a tree. Then we went to the sugar shack to watch them boil the sap.
Here is a video of the sap boiling process. They were nearly done boiling for the day so the steam coming from the sugar shack was not as impressive as when we were first drove up.
