Epcot and the Princesses

We had a fun filled day at Epcot today. After having our picture taken with Daisy Duck, we went to the Seas with Nemo and Friends. We rode on the Finding Nemo ride and then saw the Turle Talk with Crush Show.  The show is a live animation of Crush (the surfer talking sea turle from Finding Nemo, dude) that talks and interacts with the audience, complete with facial expressions and everything.  The whole time I kept thinking, "How do that do this?"  After the show we looked in the giant aquarium.  A real sea turle swam right past our window.  I didn't realize how huge they are.

After visiting the Seas, it was time to go to our lunch with the Princesses, after a quick photo in Tomorrowland and then the World Showcase Lagoon.

Our lunch with the princesses was in the Akershus Royal Banquet Hall, a medieval style room complete with stone arches and tall timbered ceilling. We posed for a picture with Belle from Beauty and the Beast and then we went to our table in the main hall.  While enjoying our "Taste of Norway" buffet and kjottkake (meatballs), four other princesses visited our table.  First was Aurora, the Sleeping Beauty.

Then Cinderella came to visit.

Snow White also came to see us.  She was in complete character, "Oh, what sweet little children!"

By the time Aerial came around, Alistair was getting into it.  Later, he said that his favorite princess was Snow White.

After lunch we went on the Maelstrom ride in Norway before walking around the rest of the World Showcase Lagoon.

Alistair's favorite part was the model train in Germany.  We had to pry him away from watching the train go over bridges, through tunnels, and through little villages.

By the time we reached England, it looked like it was going to rain.  We listened to a band playing English music, including Oasis's "Wonderwall" and The Beatle's "Help."  We saw Winnie the Pooh and Tigger, and then sheltered in a pub until the storm passed.

On our way back to Tomorrowland, we saw another princess, Rapunzel from Tangled.  We stopped for a photo with her.  We then went to the Universe of Energy and the Ellen's Energy Adventure attraction, with is a combination of movie and ride through animatronic dinosaurs.  The dinosaur bit was darker and louder than I remember, but it didn't stop Charlotte from snuggling up to me and going to sleep.  She slept all the way through the rest of the attraction as well as our ride on Spaceship Earth.  We had to shelter in some shops as another wave of thunderstorms went through.  It was a long day, but Alistair and Charlotte were troopers.
