Sunny Day at the Magic Kingdom

We got an earlier start this morning at the Magic Kingdom.  We first took the steam train to Fantasyland.  Right next to the train station is Barnstormer, or, as Alistair called it, Goofey's rollercoaster.  Alistair was tall enough to go on it, so Colin took him on it.  They sat in the front seat.  Not until they were in the queue did I notice how high up it went.  I was a bit worried that Alistair would be terrified, but as they zoomed around, I could see Alistair laughing.  He wanted to go on it again, this time he wanted to take me on the ride.

After the Barnstormer, we rode Dumbo, twice.  The first time we all squeezed in one elephant.  Alistair controlled the lever to go up and down.  Just as we were getting off, John and Gail arrived after visiting Tinkerbell, so we went on Dumbo again, this time Colin went with Alistair and I went with Charlotte.  She loved it.

After lunch we went on It's a Small World.  Charlotte looked around with fascination at all the dancing children while she munched on an apple.  At the end of the ride, Alistair said "That was the best boat ride ever!  We went all over the world!"

Alistair and Colin then rode on the carosel and then went on the race cars.  On the way back to Main Street, we saw part of a show in front of Cinderella's castle.  We had some ice cream on Main Street and then saw the parade again.  On the way back to the car, we rode on the steamboat ferry.

Back at the hotel, we went in the pool  It was Charlotte's first time in a pool, and she absolutely loved it.  She was splashing about, kicking, putting her face in the water, and even leaning her head back in the water.  She was like a little fish.  Alistair on the other hand was clinging onto Colin.
