First Day at Disney World

Today was our first day at Disney World.  We are here for a week with our friends John and Gail and their two girls Megan and Molly.  We arrived at the Magic Kingdom just before lunch.  Alistair was excited to take the monorail into the park.  Just before we boarded the monorail, we had our first glimpse of Cinderella's castle.  Alistair was excited to see the castle on Main Street too.

After a quick lunch in Tomorrowland, we went on the people mover for a tour of Space Mountain and other attractions.  Alistair had a great time and wasn't scared of being in the dark of Space Mountain.  Charlotte had fun too.

 

After the peoplemover, Alistair drove a car on the speedway (and Charlotte had a nap in the stroller).  Alistair steered the car all by himself and laughed the whole way around the track.  We hope to go back again tomorrow for another race.

 

At 3pm we watched the parade with Mickey and Minnie and lots of other Disney characters dancing on floats.  It was great fun, and even Charlotte enjoyed it.  She was pointing to the characters.  After the parade it started to rain.  We had some ice-cream and then headed towards the monorail and back to the enormous parking lot.
