Gawthorpe Hall

We visited Gawthorpe Hall near Burnely this afternoon.  The house was built around 1600 and has some of the most beautiful paneling and ceilings I have ever seen.

The grounds have some walking paths and supposedly a pond, but the paths were too muddy to explore.  I even completely wiped out on one of the paths near the house, bruising my knee but thankfully not hurting Charlotte who was in the Ergo.

We enjoyed a cup of tea and a piece of cake in the cafe after we explored the house.
