Today we visited the National Railway Museum in York. Alistair loved it. Charlotte seemed more interested in walking up and down stairs. The museum has an incredible collection of trains, including many steam engines. In additional to the well known Flying Scotsman and Mallard engines, the museum also has the Wizard Express that brings young witches and wizards to Hogwarts Castle. We started reading the first Harry Potter book to Alistair this week, just because that was the only kids book at Grandad's house. We haven't gotten to that part of the book yet.
We also rode on a small train outside, and we took a "train" back into the city center of York.
