Today we took the train down to the Museum of Science and Industry in Manchester. In an exhibit of the history of Manchester's waterworks, we walked through a recreated Victorian sewer. The highlight though was the Power Hall with it's trains and working engines.
On the walk back to Deansgate station, we stopped at the Castle Gardens, which marks the old Roman walls, gates, and buildings that used to be in Manchester.
When we reached the station, we had more than a half an hour wait, so we decided to take the tram into the city center, just for fun. We ended up taking two trams to Manchester Piccadilly. Alistair was able to see lots and lots of trains.
